2 years ago I took part in a charity bike ride that started in Pittsburgh, PA & ended in Washington, D.C. It was an amazing experience (one that I'm currently compiling a book about). It was through a Pittsburgh based operation, Veterans Leadership Program, that offers assistance to local veterans. Unfortunately, due to SARS-Cov-2 spreading across the world, the 5 day trip has been canceled the past two years. (Last year, they did offer a virtual trip (as they have this year as well).) Thankfully, with the vaccines in place, VLP has opened up a one day ride!
This year I will be participating in the 60 Miles for Veterans charity ride and am asking for your help! I know everyone is stretched for money with over a year of mitigations that have caused many reduced incomes. Many businesses have been struggling. That being said, I think this year it is just as important to help out a local business and give to a worthy charity!
So I am officially signed up and fundraising for a good cause! I am going to ride my bike from Connellsville, PA to Pittsburgh, PA and would like your support to help make that happen! My fundraising goal is low, only $100. (Two years ago I raised nearly $700.) I know we can not only hit my goal of $100 but will crush it!
