My career as an artist has changed many times in my lifetime. I sold my very first commissioned artwork at the age of sixteen. Commissions were my focus for decades. After college, I began showing my work professionally in tent shows and formal exhibitions where I collected quite a few awards for my work. Throughout all of it, and despite all of the successes those exhibitions achieved, something was missing. It wasn't until the art world changed during the pandemic that I realized my vision for my art was not to continue to theme my paintings patterned after someone else's vision, but to do art for myself.

I do not know where the future lies. But therein lies the thrill of discovery.
